The Denon DJ PRIME 4 G2 takes everything DJs loved about the original PRIME 4 and pushes it even further. Built around a complete 4-channel, 4-deck standalone workflow, the PRIME 4 G2 adds new performance tools, expanded Stems control, more FX options, built-in lighting control, and plenty of connectivity.
Whether you're DJing weddings and private events, playing clubs, or just looking for a setup that gives you more freedom without relying on a laptop, there's a lot packed into this system.
Four Decks. No Laptop Required.
At the center of the Denon DJ PRIME 4 G2 is a true 4-deck standalone workflow. You can mix across four decks without connecting to a computer, with the 10.1-inch HD touchscreen giving you access to your library, waveforms, performance controls, and settings.
There are plenty of options for bringing your music with you, too. The PRIME 4 G2 includes two USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, an SD card slot, and an internal hard drive bay.
Built-in Wi-Fi also gives you access to supported music streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, Beatport, TIDAL, and SoundCloud GO+. Spotify support is expected in early 2027.
New MPC-Style Performance Pads
One of the biggest additions to the PRIME 4 G2 is its multi-zone MPCe performance pads.
Instead of limiting each pad to a single basic function, the new pads give DJs more ways to interact with their performance. Multiple functions and parameters can be combined within a single pad, opening up new possibilities for Hot Cues, FX, lighting control, and more.
For DJs who like to get creative and make changes on the fly, the pads become another hands-on part of the mix rather than just a set of buttons below the jog wheels.
More Control Over Stems
Stems have become a big part of modern DJ workflows, and the PRIME 4 G2 gives DJs more ways to use them during a set.
Onboard Stem Separation lets you work with individual parts of a track directly from the system. Dedicated Acapella and Instrumental buttons make it easy to quickly isolate vocals or instrumentals, while Stems pad mode, Stem Level EQ, and Stem effects give you even more control.
The 8-inch jog wheel display can also show Stem status information, so you can keep track of what's happening without having to constantly look back at the main display.
That opens up a lot of possibilities for live mashups, transitions, breakdowns, and remixing tracks in ways that wouldn't be possible with traditional mixing alone.
Plenty of Ways to Work With FX
The PRIME 4 G2 doesn't take a one-size-fits-all approach to effects. There are several different FX sections built into the system, so you can use them differently depending on how you like to mix.
Two internal Main FX modules give you access to more than 25 effects, along with toggle paddles and Favorite FX buttons for quickly getting back to the effects you use most.
There are also 10 reactive Touch FX, Fader FX that respond to fader movements, and four Sweep FX options with dedicated controls on each mixer channel.
Whether you just want to quickly add an effect to a transition or completely change the feel of a track, there's plenty of room to experiment.
Full-Size Jog Wheels and Hands-On Control
The PRIME 4 G2 features full-size 8-inch high-resolution jog wheels designed to give you plenty of room for hands-on control.
Built-in displays provide useful information right at the jog wheels, including cue position indicators and Stem status. The system also uses premium dual-rail faders for a smoother, more solid feel when mixing.
It's an all-in-one system, but the larger controls help give it the feel of a full-size professional DJ setup.
Built-In Lighting Control
For mobile and event DJs, this is a big one.
The PRIME 4 G2 has Engine Lighting powered by SoundSwitch built directly into the system, along with a physical DMX output.
That means your lighting doesn't have to feel like a completely separate part of the setup. You can control compatible lighting from the PRIME 4 G2 and bring lighting into your performance workflow.
For DJs who are already bringing sound and lighting to weddings, parties, and other events, having everything work together from one central system can help simplify the setup while creating a more complete show.
Built for More Than One Room
Another feature that makes the PRIME 4 G2 especially useful for mobile and event DJs is its audio routing.
You get balanced XLR Main, Booth, and Zone outputs, with the Zone output giving you the ability to send separate audio to another sound system.
For example, you could be DJing the main dance floor while sending a separate playlist to a cocktail area, lobby, or another part of the venue.
There are also two microphone inputs with 3-band EQ, Echo and Reverb FX, Talkover, and Anti-Feedback. Mic 2 can even be used as a line input when you need to connect an instrument or another audio source.
It's the kind of flexibility that can make a big difference when you're working events where every setup is a little different.
More Ways to Bring Music Into Your Set
Not every DJ works from the same music source, and the PRIME 4 G2 gives you plenty of options.
Along with USB drives, SD cards, an internal hard drive, and streaming services, there's a Bluetooth Deck that lets you control and mix audio from a smartphone or tablet.
You also get two sets of stereo Line/Phono inputs, making it possible to bring external sources into the setup.
The idea is simple: whatever your preferred way of accessing your music is, there's a good chance the PRIME 4 G2 can work it into your setup.
OmniSource Is Coming
The PRIME 4 G2 is also being built with what's coming next in mind.
OmniSource capability is expected in late 2026 and is designed to allow DJs to mix between standalone media and compatible computer DJ software within the same workflow.
Planned software support includes Serato, Algoriddim, and VirtualDJ.
For DJs who sometimes want the freedom of standalone and other times prefer working with DJ software, OmniSource could make it easier to move between the two without completely changing the way you work.
Who Is the PRIME 4 G2 For?
There's a lot here for different types of DJs, but mobile and event DJs will probably notice some of the biggest benefits.
Built-in lighting control, multiple microphone inputs, a dedicated Zone output, streaming, Bluetooth audio, Stems, and extensive connectivity all make sense when you're working weddings, corporate events, private parties, and other gigs where you need your setup to adapt.
Open-format and club DJs also get plenty to work with thanks to the four-deck workflow, 8-inch jog wheels, Stems, MPCe pads, and expanded FX options.
And if your goal is to get away from bringing a laptop to every gig, the standalone workflow gives you the tools to build a complete performance around one system.
A Lot More Than Four Decks
The Denon DJ PRIME 4 G2 isn't just about putting four standalone decks into one piece of gear.
It's about bringing more of the entire performance together.
Your music, Stems, FX, lighting, microphones, streaming, audio routing, and multiple playback sources can all live within the same system. And with OmniSource support planned for late 2026, that workflow is set to expand even further.
For DJs who want the freedom of standalone performance while still having plenty of room to get creative, the PRIME 4 G2 brings a lot to the table.
