The GLX-D+ Dual Band Wireless Rack System features the miniature wearable WL93 lavalier microphone for spoken word applications and the GLXD4R+ half-rack receiver.  GLX-D+ Dual Band Digital Wireless is the perfect solution for musicians and presenters who want to go wireless with confidence, and without complexity. Every aspect of its operation is managed automatically and with total reliability, allowing you to focus on your performance. With new Dual Band Wireless Technology, GLX-D+ can operate in both 2.4 and 5.8GHz, more than doubling the available bandwidth while also intelligently avoiding interference for reliable, dropout-free audio. Featuring smart rechargeability with up to 12 hours of runtime (improved from prior generation GLX-D), the included lithium-ion battery can be charged multiple ways and offers quick charge capabilities. Available with multiple legendary microphone options (including the SM58) in tabletop, half-rack and guitar pedal system configurations. When combined with Frequency Manager and directional antenna accessories (both sold separately), the rack-mount receiver systems are ideal for small and medium installations where a larger number of channels is needed.

GLX-D+ Dual Band Digital Wireless can operate in both 2.4 and 5.8GHz. This means the system will automatically scan these two frequency ranges and select the one that offers the higher number of clean channels. The 2.4GHz range offers 83.5MHz of bandwidth, while the 5.8GHz range offers 125MHz. This means that 5.8 range 1.5x larger than 2.4GHz. The previous generation of GLX-D only operated in 2.4GHz, so the system scan could only find a frequency in a range of 83.5MHz. In contrast, the new GLX-D+ Dual Band has the same range, plus additional 125MHz in the 5.8GHz range. More spectrum = more area to find a clean channel, and therefore minimizing dropouts and enhancing confidence in user performance and trust in the Shure brand.
